WEEE (Waste Electrical Electronic Equipment) disposed of to landfill, incinerated or recovered without any pre-treatment has potentially serious consequences for the environment and human health.

How will I know if my phone is a WEEE product?

You will find a crossed out wheeled bin symbol on the base of the product. The symbol means that the equipment should not be disposed of with general household waste.

Disposal:

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) must never be placed in any of your household wheelie bins. WEEE is taken back free of charge at electrical retail outlets on a one-for-one like-for-like basis. Local authority civic amenity facilities also take back WEEE free of charge. WEEE recycling is free.

There is no disposal charge for end of life WEEE returned to Rea Communications  or deposited at civic amenity sites. Rea Communications  will accept old products on a one for one basis (must be equivalent type and have fulfilled the same function).

Waste batteries must never be placed in your waste disposal or recycling bins. There is a bin for small batteries in your local store. Battery recycling is free

Play your part by:

• Not disposing of WEEE or batteries with your general household waste.
• Bringing your old phone to your local civil amenity site at end of life for recycling or alternatively you can return your phone free of charge by following the returns process included with the product information pack.
