Grade A

Grade A devices have passed all key functional tests. They appear flawless at first glance. The battery is generally between 85% and 100%, but never below 80%. It has some very minor imperfections that are only visible upon close inspection and/or when rotated in the light. These imperfections may be found near the ports, corners, or the Apple logo; rarely in a small limited area of the screen.

The A/B Grade includes a balanced mix of Grade A devices and some devices with a few more imperfections. The battery is generally between 85% and 100%, but never below 80%. For devices with a few more defects, the screen and/or the casing might have small scratches, or some slightly longer and faint scratches. In rare cases, the ports, corners, or edges might have more pronounced minor imperfections.
